foreal, thats good.. when you got an associates youre guaranteed to get a better job
i remember i used to always ask the teachers.. "when the fuck am i gonna need this shit in real life.." matricies.. wtf isnt that the shit thats in brackets and you have to add across or multiply depending on the equation given? lol
Yeah, your guaranteed to get a better job, no doubt, but then again there's a lot of competition right now and associates degrees are like basically having your highschool diploma because everyone either has one or has a Bachelors degree or higher.
The way I see it, you still have to KNOW someone to land a good job or either present yourself in a very good way during the interview process to land a good job. Not to mention, IMAGE, it's all about hiring good looking people. There's a lot of nerds out there with Bachelors or on the verge of getting their degrees, but they don't fucken speak because they lack real world social skills and experience. How the fuck are they supposed to communicate with people at work if they lack social skills because of their extreme shyness or they have no real work experience.
Seriously, I liked how society was when our parent's generation was growing up. My mom landed a $20hr. job with AT&T str8 out of highschool and that was good money back then for a 19year old. You just basically got trained on the job. Now days they expect more, degrees n shit for the same paying jobs that my mom had because that's what society has created. We fucked our selves up IMO. Everyone these days thinks their too good to bust a sweat.
Basically what I'm saying, is that I feel degrees are so fucken mainstream now. Everyone either has one or is working on getting one. I can understand if your in some internship program and your GUARANTEED a job, but for the peeps that are just getting degrees, graduating and putting that shit on their resume, I just feel the competition is just too high in that regard because everyone has that shit already. Therefore, for the employer it's just going to boil down to hiring the person with the best social skills, experience and image, just like our parent's generation.
I personally like the idea of earning your way up. Putting in a little sweat if you have to and building up your work experience at an early age. A lot of spoiled motherfuckers these days don't even work n shit because they can't cope with the stresses of being in school and having a job, fucken pussies. So where the fuck is their job experience? I don't like the idea of an average joe coming in with a piece a paper saying he graduated with a Bachelors in Business and expect to be higher than everyone else. That mofo still has to get trained.
