My credibility is in tact.. no worries..

Because I dont know two of the people on the cover on a personal level means nothing... I'm not going to argue about a business move with you.. who are you again? ..
you may think the people on here on just 'internet personalities' but most of us are handling business.

.. thanks a bunch for your opinion though.
If doing the footwork for someone else's magazine is handlin business then handle up!! But since it's someone else's magazine at best your an employee remember that.

Fuck the haters. I give props to the vets who did it and are still doing. Without them we wouldn’t get the chance to get on a magazine. Because we wouldn’t have a music scene to begin with, no one on this board is to say who deserves what. Be happy there is an issue on us (The Northwest). Cats are never satisfied with anything. This issue will open opportunities for more issues and different magazine for us. Look there is a lot of other people who I also think that deserve to be on the cover. There are a lot of people who have been doing this longer then me or anyone on the cover. But it’s not about that it’s about an opportunity that was given. Either cats took it or they didn’t it’s as simple as that. I love my region and the music coming out of it. Props to all on there grind, but the siccness does not indicate who the factors are. It’s just a whole bunch of people that know each other that boost their homeboy’s name online. No ones networking on this, no one is using this form as a tool. It’s just a place to give personal updates on your project or give opinions that mean nothing when you log off. But where is the support at? Not only from the fans but other artist? You can't expect what you don’t give. Where is the unity we made so many forms complaining about?
Ain't no one knockin your hustle homie, but there are more deserving artist than yourself that should have been considered for the cover. Wouldn't you agree? I bet you and your camp had to pay to be included in this issue, cuz off of street buzz alone ya'll aint really making no noise. Neema might be but the rest of ya'll is just local. We all know the politics of indy magazines, so if you wanna try and make it sound like ya'll grindin so hard that you deserve the cover, cut the bullshit!!!! Cuz ain't no one outside of your city heard of you!!!

We are all employees in some form or fashion. Stop trying to make this into something personal dollface... dont like the mag? dont read it.. dont like how I put this issue together? I'm hurt but I think I'll get over it.

And that was your choice... the offer was put out there and you chose not to be a part of the issue. Perhaps you feel a vet like yourself should have been walked thru the submission process.
I Wasn't posting to say i or Felony Ent. artist should have been on the cover just speaking up for those left out other than myself no disrespect to those that are on there because i got love for the folks on there that i have meet in person. And if i didn't try to get involved with this mag it is because i most likely didn't want to be on the cover for what..........This mag is a good thing for whoever wants it to be, but it sure won't make or break me..And this is not a jab at you just a response...Keep doing what you love to do....

The way YOU put this magazine together, solicitating ads is not puttin a magazine together. haha. Did you write the articles, make the layout, pay for the print up? What did you do beside come on the siccness and what ever other forums and myspace and post and make threads about the NW edition?

Snuka, gives us your cover idea for "newcomers" please.
I'd have On-One on there. Lets see Tha Loco, Non-Stop, might not be new but I've barely heard of him within the last year. Lac of Respect, their all veterans but as a group they are new. I'd do a Big write up on the return of Mr. D.O.G.!! I'm not even sure I'd do a New Nw Generation, cuz like it was stated earlier, the og generation never got the shine they deserve so why would we overlook that and honor some new comers nobodies even heard of?

I wouldn't do a new generation cover, but if I had to pick artists, I would have gone with Framework, Tha Loco, and Crytical; especially considering Neema is on the current issue's cover if I am not mistaken.

I think it might have been a good idea to feature NW producers rather than artists, as it seems the producers are doing it bigger lately. This could add some credibility to our region if cats from outside the region recognize the moves some of the producers up here are making.

Kuddie
DSane
Vitamin D
FunkDaddy
Syko
Bosko
Isaac Meek

All these guys are getting more industry recognition than most artists up here, and even the average Seattle rap fan doesn't know it let alone people from outside the NW. I bet most of the people in Seattle who love Mac Dre would be surprised to hear that he had been fucking with a NW producer (syko) and they would be even more shocked to hear about FunkDaddy's credentials. I don't want this to come off as hater shit, because I am glad to see we got this mag at all. Just some constructive criticism.

Why do you seem so hurt at the idea that I may have done more for the mag than show my boobies..? Youre making yourself look super ignorant.

Yes I wrote some of the write-ups... helped with the layout... did I cut the check at the printers? No... but I generated enough money to get all the mags printed as well as pay my mortgage and send my sons on a 5 week vacation.
Oh... and I did the intro to this issue of SouthWestBound too.. :)

arguments are silly

Check this out,

First off, im a say this, everyone IS entitled to their opinion and by no means am i saying anything against that. I respect it. Now, with that being said...

The fact is no matter what someone is gonna feel like someone got snubbed it happens every time. I dont know why people are tripping because it does say NEW GENERATION on it. Me personally, I see alot of the artists on the cover on their grind and I will tell you this, these cats aint no joke.

NOTE TO ALL DOUBTERS, HATERS, etc. etc:
-Just because artist X doesnt grind on the same block as you and you dont see them on their hustle or havent heard of them DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARENT GRINDING.-

The Northwest is A HUGE COMMUNUITY and a magazine is there to REPORT that. Theres how many rappers out there? To hate on the cover or the situation would be playing ourselves as a whole. we should be thanking Kalyn and SWB for providing such oppurtunities to the Region. We as a community need to come together. Instead of people bitching I say, create other oppurtunites through the grind, combine them with this ONE opp that was presented to a select few artists and THAT IS HOW A MOVMENET IS STARTED. NOT BY GOING BACK AND FORTH ON MESSAGE BOARDS.

I ride for the young cats of the Northwest, just like i give props to the OGs in the game. But frankly I get tired of all the griping on here people should just be happy that our scene is bubbling right now, stop worrying bout who deserves what, ill tell you what, I gaurauntee the same people complaining every day about not getting their shine are the same ones who arent on their own grind the way they should be, cuz if they are spending time worrying bout what they DIDNT get thats that much less time they get to spend working on what they COULD get. typical northwest.

I see my name mentioned on this thread which is cool and i respect it and appreciate it, but as someone who tries to lead by example, I say lets keep pushing forward and support these young cats out here cuz obviously they did SOMETHING right to get to this spot and please believe it aint a money thing its a networking thing.

Just my two cents

neema
unexpected arrival

and ps the northwest is on fire right now both covers are sick.

Hi haters :)

Me Hurt? Nah, not off somethin lil like this. I hope I can get a copy of the mag, it would be nice to check it out, I just didn't agree with a new generation before you introduced the "old" generation. Most of the people on the cover represent Seattle it seems and not the NW as a whole. But it's your mag, to do with what you will. I hope the Nw as a whole is represented correctly and not just the one's who broke bread for ad space. We'll have to see.

Don't get me wrong...I love what we got going and shit..And people are reppin that NW...But it seems like nobody really outlets to other cities...Besides a few people, fortunately I'm startin to see it more and more...Just seems like you gotta be from Seattle or P-Town to do anything or get some recognition...I'm not hatin on anybody though, and I think what we got going is somethin good...We're all gonna be makin noise.

there's a lot of great points mentioned in this thread, but I'd have to say Neema made some of the best ones. muhfuckas are gettin' mad cuz they didn't get to be on the cover of SouthWest Bound magazine. what's the point? the artists shown obviously took the initiative to get on there and went through with it.. and just because some of you don't recognize a couple of them doesn't mean they ain't doin' their thing.. I know for a fact, that more than half of the dudes on the cover with Neema are makin' moves.. and plus, it's not like this is the Source or XXL, people.. SouthWest Bound is a beginning and flourishing magazine that, if it's gets continued support, will do bigger and better things. Everybody wants to be the first, the one, the main muhfucka, el capitan.. I'm a humble muhfucka myself.. I do what I gotta do to put my name out.. some of you may not have ever heard of JAY BARZ, but there's a bigger some that have.. I give it up to anyone that's pushin to get this region some attention. If a muhfucka opens up a door for us before me or whoever, GREAT. I'll be there with the rest of the frontline with the muhfuckin' battering ram to break it down. All you so-called move-makers should start looking at the glass half full instead of half empty and get ya grind on.
