I'm looking for a good file program for utilities/games, etc. I'm not as much interested in music. If the program does music as well, that's fine, but I'm looking for a prog to get utilities, games, etc. Anyone know of any good progs?

kazaa lite...but people love to hate on kazaa for some reason. there's other programs like this you can use like warezp2p (could never find shit on that), shareazaa, soulseek (never used those), but i think kazaa lite is the best out of those.

you could use bittorrent. you install it, then search for actual torrent filez (usually on warez sites) and run the file. you basically DL shit from other people and upload from other people. works pretty good, but it's not like a program where you have a search option. you have to actually look for filez.

DC++ - i would THINK this would be the best one. directly connect to a hub and DL whatever the hell you want. sounds like an FTP deal. the thing that sucks is that there's usually share requirements to get into a hub. like you might need 30 gigs of shit to share to get in. kinda bullshit...

or you can use IRC, but it's a bitch and there's usually a line of people that got into the room before you. you can find pretty much anything on IRC though.

or you can DL demos and crack them.

***I WOULD GO WITH BITTORRENT PERSONALLY*** it's getting REALLY popular online.

happy warezing :)

What I use:

KAZAA LITE - PRO: Good for downloading single files CON: Subject to a lot of viruses, plus the gov watches this shit, this is where everyone is getting fined

mIRC - PRO: The newest shit can be found on irc, they get everything first CON: there can be long ass wait times, could wait DAYS to download an album, also hard to learn at first

BIT TORRENTZ - PRO: Easy, and a good source for tv shows, movies, and progs, plus its pretty damn fast CON: not so good for music, limited selection

AGENT- PRO: Really fast, plus really private, big selection of everything CON: your ISP must support newsgroup file sharing (a lot are doing away with it), kind of difficult to set up and run, takes a lot of scroll button searching

DC++ - PRO: you can pretty much find any album, game, movie you want, old and new. All kinds of files can be shared since its a direct peer-to-peer, most complete search function yet CON: Speed of download greatly varies due to peoples diferent bandwidths, a lot of disconnects, when people download from you it slows down your own downloads a lot, you have to follow the rules of each "hub" or risk getting banned

Hope this helps.

could you break down this proGram a little more? is it set up like soul seek or kazaa where you do searches? Or IRC where there are rooms?

^it's more like a file download manager. you never have to actually open the program that downloads the file, you just install the program, search for .torrent filez (usually on warez sites), and run the .torrent file to start the download. the way it downloads is kind of like a traditional file sharer where you recieve files from different people and upload to different people.

.torrent files are usually around 25kb, so they're really easy to download if you have a slow connection.

^^^ Yeah, but basically all you do is visit a bit torrent website, all the shit that is available for downloading will be listed there as links. You click on the link of what you want and BAM, youre downloading it.

What you want to do is find different torrent websites since all of them will have a different selection of links to choose from. Check out Suprnova.org, its a great place to start
