What? He beat hopkins legitimately, beat James Toney pretty bad (knocked him down), beat McCallum bad (knocked him down), beat Tarver once, got beat by him twice and once to glen johnson.

I agree he's fought a lot of bums over his career but most boxers do early on. Not too many people could have fucked with Jones in his prime 91-97 (and I'm not a Jones fan).

btw, I hear they will be fighting at Light Heavyweight. Tito was a good welterweight, and was kind of small for a middleweight. I don't see how he'll have any power at Light Heavyweight. Jones will embarrass him. This fight will not be worthing paying money for

Roy will win by KO easily.

Why is this taking place? This is a fight I definitely don't give 2 shits about right now. I think Tito wants to make a quick comeback but can't shed the weight and this is the best option available. Tito loses easily in this one by lopsided UD or loses by KO, one or the other.

maybe jones will throw it to set up the trinidad de la hoya fight, im very skeptical of the reality of these fights, especially after watching the de la hoya mayweather fight.

Yep. This fight is about money and thats it. Two people that are pretty much irrelevant in the sport and past their primes trying to get the biggest payday possible. They both think they are more important than they really are and think this will be a huge event. It will sell fairly good, but not nearly as much as they think

ROY JONES JR: "IF TRINIDAD GOES MORE THAN SEVEN ROUNDS I QUIT!"
By G. Leon

GL: The Trinidad fight had been in discussion for quite some time. Now that it's a done deal can you give us some thoughts on the fight? "I love the fight. I'm glad the fight is happening. Some people might say it's a fight that should have happened five years ago, but God always knows best. It's a fight that needed to happen and this is the best time for it to happen. I'm thrilled to death that it's happening."
