Has anybody peeped the new horror anthology that NBC has been airing on thursdays? It is OFF THE CHAINS!

Mick Garris, the guy that did Masters of Horror for showtime, is putting this one together as well. Same premise as MOH too--getting all the horror masterminds to write and direct the episodes. This show is an hour long though (well 45 mins minus commercials) as opposed to a half hour.

They've aired three episodes so far and the one the played last night was the best one. HELLA fucked up ending. Anyone see it?

I hope this show gets some decent ratings. I wouldn;t mind seeing this go for a few seasons. Network tv is so fucking gay and repetitive, it makes me sick. There hasn't been a horror anthology on network tv since I can remember.

nah... the last half hour the killer was in the dude's body, he killed his family (cept for his daughter). so when the dude in the killer's body came back and they both died and switched bodies again, the real killer was dead and dude was in his original body. so when they are going through the house they find the dead wife and daughter and ask the other daughter who killed them, she pointed at her dad. so either way, if he woulda go stuck in the killers body or his body, he was fucked regardless.

Yeah it's ok! I kept reading they would keep the gore and what not of masters of horror but really you see more on Medium and csi's. Last nights story was decent but you already knew what the ending would be at the beginning if you've ever watched a twilight zone, alfred hitchcock or for that matter even tales from the crypt.

So compared to what is on network tv right now it is good, but still not in the league of the old horror hour shows like T Zone or alfred hitchcock.

maan.. I've seen every episode of every horror anthology that has ever been aired. and I have most of them on dvd. twilight zone is the shit, no doubt about it. I hold it above every other anthology and I doubt that will change. It's different though. Twilight zone was more sci-fi than horror. Most anthologies today are the opposite (cept for Outer Limits which ran in the 90s). But I can tell this show has potential. And the great thing is, if you don't like an episode, dont trip cuz every episode has a different writer and director. And they are getting A-list people to do this.

tales from the crypt was completely different. That was a comic book inspired tv show that integrated dark comedy in the show more than anything else. Still entertaining though. I think the best anthology to come out since twilight zone was Night Visions.. the one hosted by Henry Rollins.
