I always liked Pharmacy
LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Knowledge about drugs not only helps you score them, it can help you score points in a new board game.
It's called "Pharmacy" and requires players to answer sobering questions about legal and illegal drugs in order to win the game.
Players use game pieces designed to look like stereotypical drug users, including hippies, yuppies, gamblers and smokers.
Then they stagger around the board answering questions such as "Who can legally ingest peyote?" or "What was the first use of Ecstasy?"
Also, at certain points, players have to pick "karma cards" that can send a character to the hospital, jail, rehab or other undesirable locations.
Lisa Elia, one of the game's cocreators, says the game was inspired by news reports of old guys mixing Viagra with their heart medication.
Still, she insists "Pharmacy" is meant to be tongue-in-cheek more than needle-in-arm and seriously doubts it will inspire anyone to try drugs themselves.
