This shit sounds interesting.. Anyone got any more info on it? All i could find is some old news about it on IGN.. I dont even know if the release date posted is up-to-date.

This might be one MMORPG i'll actually get into.. Looks like a mix between Fallout 3 and Diablo 2; couldnt ask for a better combination myself! Haha, i know i bought my p/c for something..

IGN.com said:
The world as we know it has fallen to ruin in the wake of the Shiva plague and a nuclear holocaust. Civilization's last flickering flames gutter in a small portion of the American Southwest, around the Grand Canyon. While humanity fights to survive and rebuild on the ashes of the old world, new factions struggle for dominance: the stern Enforcers, the spiritual Lightbearers, the nature-loving Vistas, the gadget-happy Techs, the merchant-minded Travelers, and the savage Children of the Apocalypse. The conflicts and alliances between these factions create a dangerous ebb and flow that could make even bleaker the future of the Grand Canyon Province ... and of humanity as a whole.

Fallen Earth is a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game set on a post-apocalyptic Earth in the year 2154. Six factions struggle for dominance in the province. Over time, you'll have the chance to pick a side in the effort to hold sway over what remains of the post-Fall world.
Release Date: September 30, 2009

who makes this?

everytime i hear a new MMORPG announced I wish they would just make it a normal RPG instead.
Yeah i'm with ya on that one lol.. But, i dont agree to that statement with this game.. Only because Fallout 3 jus came out, and that games pretty much impossible to beat when it comes to Post Apocolyptic RPG's lol..

The game concept is dope imo.. It's a free roaming RPG, the fighting/gun mechanics are like Mass Effect, you got stat points to allocate on you're character, you join factions and do missions with other faction members, and best of all it takes place in Post Apolocalyptic Grand Cayon!

I just hope it developes a good online community.. That way whoever is developeing it will release new patches as needed and keep the game up to date.

Like i said i dont know much about this game.. If anyone else has some info/pics they'd like to contribute that'd be great.. Atm, this games prolly one of my most highly anticipated games of tha year.. Well, besides Diablo 3 but who knows if thats even comein out within this decade lol.

Heres some more info -

Backround -

With the majority of humanity decimated by the Shiva plague and an ensuing nuclear holocaust, civilization hovers on the brink of extinction. The world as we knew it will never be the same.

The year is 2156. As one of the last remaining habitable areas, the Grand Canyon Province is home to six factions fighting for control of the Fallen Earth. Some fight for the remnants of the world they used to know, while other garner hope of a peaceful civilization to come.

In order to survive, you’ve become a scavenger. With more than 1,000 square kilometers of landscape, you hunt scrap metal and recycled parts to craft the thousands of items you’ll need to sruvive. You trade with others for food, weapons, technology and protection. and the missions you choose make you who you are—will you ally with a faction or rally against it?

Embroiled in a fight for your life, you’re battling the environment and others who need the same resources as you. Combining first-person shooter style action with the traditional role-playing game design, the challenge will require all that you have and all you are.

Those left in the wake of destruction have to make a choice.

Where will you stand in the fight for Fallen Earth?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Fallen Earth™?
Fallen Earth is a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game set on a post-apocalyptic Earth in the year 2154. Within the Grand Canyon Province, an isolated pocket of settlements around one of the world's most amazing landmarks, you'll face threats to mankind's continued survival, from irradiated zones to mutated beasts to raiders. Six factions struggle for dominance in the province. Over time, you'll have the chance to pick a side in the effort to hold sway over what remains of the post-Fall world.

Who is behind Fallen Earth?
The artists, programmers, and writers at Icarus Studios have built the world and crafted the stories that will unfold in Fallen Earth.

When will Fallen Earth be released?
It'll be done when it's done. Seriously. We've been developing the game for several years, and we're not interested in making the mistake of releasing a game that's not ready for players. However, you can rest assured that we're just as eager to see the game go live as you!

How much will Fallen Earth cost?
We haven't announced retail pricing for the game yet, but it will be competitive with other major MMOs.

What races will I get to play?
Just humans. This is the homeworld of humanity and you're trying to rebuild on the ruins.

What classes will be available?
We're not making our players choose a class. Instead, players will customize their characters with stats, skills, abilities, and mutations.

Will other players be able to gank me in the early stages of learning the game?
No. All players start in the Plateau, which doesn't allow for Player vs. Player combat. PvP is introduced later in the game.

Do I need a broadband connection to play?
No, but it is recommended for an optimum gameplay experience.

Can I play with my friends all over the world?
That's the plan! The game itself should be accessible from all over the world. If you've got friends on the Internet, plan to see them on Fallen Earth.

How many people can play simultaneously?
We won't have a maximum limit. The more, the merrier!

Will there be loading screens between zones?
Zones? What zones? Fallen Earth is a zoneless world, allowing players to move seamlessly from one area to another without loading screens.

Fuck i've been following this game forever.. Pretty damn excited.. This will probably be my first MMO i'll ever actually play (besides D2 which some will say isnt even an MMO.) So i really don't know what to expect.. But the concepts and the risks that this game takes make it stand out for me..

They annoucned a release date.. Its next month on the 15th this game will be live :) I'm bout to go preorder it right now.. Finnaly i can put this new PC i bought to the test.. The only p/c games that have interested me so far are The Witcher (fun game but lots of backtracking) and i also have The Last Remnant which is dope, and dosn't suffer from any glitches that the 360 version does..

Anyways thought i'd update y'all since i jus figured out the release date for this game.. :) Maybe i can get some siccness folks to hop on this game and we can start takein over towns together.. It's all about joinin a faction and takeing over cities for you're faction and survivin in the post apocalyptic grand canyon!

btw they updated the website if y'all wanna check it out and see what this games about
