If you don't like country music then how did you pick an artist to sign? Wouldn't that be the same as a country label signing a rapper when they don't like rap? How did you know they were even worth signing? There's as many mediocore country singers fighting to get heard and make money as there are rappers doing the same. Sorry Ap9, big fan of your music, but are you qualified to pick a country singer?
He's had a LOT of exposure to the music industry.
He knows talent when he sees/hears it.
No one relevant in the game for THAT long
would miss raw talent, REGARDLESS of genre.
It doesn't take a lot of expertise
of a specific genre to know talent.
It does however require some SERIOUS intuition
Intuition which most people don't really have.
This separates good producers from the
musically ""knowledgeable" weaklings...
