he made some good points but i disagree as far as the cubes and dre's need to reach out and sign acts.....In my opinion why would you want a rapper to sign you, especially if they still trying to rap and put their own shit out...what kind of priority will you be then? like C-bo signing to buck....so buck sold some albums on someone elses label, that's suppose to mean he knows how to run a business? i think it is time to pave our own way..change the game...as you may notice labels are not profiting as much as they used to ( at least i would think) less avenues tp place your c.ds at.....shits going digital...record companies dont have a solid monopoly on that....Get out there make your product available in more then one format and readily available...gorilla marketing....too many rappers...producers..shit an artist should get a hundred serious minded individuals who will build an investment company together. everyone each year put in at least $1000...and promote..press up and everyone shares the profits and losses..we gotta think outside the box..not try and search for a time machine to take us back into time..the blueprint does not work anymore..

thas real shit but i think what he meant by that was atleast work wit some of our artists? why you fuckin wit cats on the east while we strugglin to build shit out here? i dont think he meant signing us but atleast working with us, someone who works with dre automaticcaly gets some buzz, after you get that buzz do your own thing but collaborations are somewhat important to get that push into the game,
dre can do alot for an artist whether we like it or not, just by him backing up your music people automaticcly wanna give it a listen
i agree with what he sayin on that point, you should be fuccin with your own people and tryna start some shit out here oinstead of basscily ignorin our talent
looks like dre wants to be the only person named when the west is mentioned

As cricet was saying there are plenty producers with just as tight production..however Dre does have an ear to add to it to make shit hot..look at Daz who cries baout all the production he did back in the day...then how come you aint had a hot song since? 9 not to say he aint had any good songs)..Its dre who can take shit to another level....on that note we have created a system where some feel that they have to rely on the next man to get them to another level..back in the day wasnt no features, usually just one producer..The focus should be the business side and paving a new way....not production and rappin...(that should be a given)

For those who can't get the audio, here's a quick synopsis:

(keep in mind Coop is basically asking Cricet questions that go along with the conversation)

- Coop introduces Cricet and says he has an album coming out Dec 18,2007
*Cricet says very little about the album: he produced it, him and Steve play all the
instruments
*Cricet states his uncle from NY got him hooked on hip hop and like Marley Marl
*Cricet says he then looked up to cats like Dre and Cube
* then he began to study the situation deeper

- Coop asks Cricet how he feels about the West Coast situation and pioneers (specifically Dre and Cube)
*Cricet complains that they're doing nothing to help the situation
*they need to be signing more west coast artists like Simmons
and Jayz are on the east coast
* Cricet says nobody gives SD any love and never has
* then Cricet proceeds to say that we don't need them anyways
* Cricet then complains about Dre and Cube some more
* Cricet says if Eazy was alive and Shug wasn't blackballed shit
would be different
