The MMASCOOPS.com web team talked today with the owners of Chute Boxe USA and this is the latest breaking news involving Chute Boxe Academy and their split.

"Chute Boxe Academy has split up my friend. None of the fighters got along with Coach Roberto (USA). Recently Anthony Johnson (UFC fighter) left the group because he couldn't get along with Coach Roberto. Ninja and Shogun will be moving to L.A. and taking over the gym. Ninja will replace Roberto, and is currently in contacts with Johnson and other fighters who left, to re-assemble the team. Wanderlei will be fighting soon, and he will be training with Randy Couture in Vegas. They both promised each other that they would advance one another's game, and Wanderlei plans on training with Randy for a long time. They might even open a school together. As for Coach Roberto, he will be opening his own gym downtown. We wish him the best. This has nothing to do with Brasil, or Rudimar. We are currently in negotiations to change our gym name, to "L.A. MMA"

Some instructors are just too big headed.
And it looks like Roberto was the cause of the problems in this case.
I don't see this as a split up since Ninja's taking over.
It's still going to be the same academy.

Same with Wandi starting his own academy.
If he and Randy were to start a new one, that's like another Chute Boxe academy. After all, Chute Boxe style is a mix of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and wrestling. I see this as a potential expansion.
And the same can be said for Roberto starting his own school.
All he has to do is find a staff that he can get along with....

So NO, Wandi and Shogun aren't fighting.
From what I know, those guys are like family....
Unless some of you cats are capable of fighting your own fathers, then you're on your own....
