Yesterday, when I was away from home, my brother received a package delivered to our address that we didn't order. We weren't expecting a package and before he could ask what it was, the postman put the box in his hand and ran off.

Turns out that somebody with the same name had ordered a set of home theater speakers & whoever was processing the orders redelivered to our address after they couldn't reach the recipient at his house.

The eerie thing is I had ordered a similar type item from the same retailer last year.

It is a fairly heavy item and I don't have time or the energy to take it on the bus with me. Do I keep it?

As long as you didn't sign for it then I say hell yeah. If they try and come back at you then it's your word against the post man. They'll have no way to prove that you got the speakers. Just deny that shit up and down if it ever came down to it.

If you didn't sign fore it then legally they can't do anything. It's your word vs. his. But it is likely they will come back to your house at which point you will either give the package back or tell them to go fuck themselves.

It's nothing major so if it came from a large corp. i'm sure they'll just send the other folks another set ......consider it a present for national nurses week
