Just wondering if this happened to anybody else.

I was on my way up to the 4th floor to fill out my benefit info. As I step into the elevator, I think about the elevator scene in Final Destination, Part 2. As the elevator starts moving, I notice a sign on the wall by a phone that says, 'lift receiver to talk to guard.' Something about the phone struck me as odd, don't know why. The elevator stopped moving, and I thought to myself, 'what if I got stuck in this elevator?' I'm standing there waiting & waiting for the door to open, but to my dismay, it doesn't. So, using the survival skills I've acquired from watching every single Indiana Jones movie, I put my hand on the wall, to see if the elevator was moving. It wasn't. The lights on the floor numbers weren't lit up either, so I didn't know where the hell I was. So, I followed the instructions on the wall, lifted the phone receiver, and said to the guard, 'This might sound stupid, but I think I'm stuck in the elevator.' For some reason, I thought he might think I was stupid for being stuck, like it was my fault. lol! Anyway, I was in that damn elevator sitting on the floor for like 7 minutes until somebody changed the fuse. The elevator started moving, and I finally got to the 5th floor (even though I wanted the 4th, but fuck it at this point). The next day, the same thing happened to my boss, in the same elevator!!! Only difference was that the elevator stopped half way between floors & he had to crawl out!

Has anyone else ever been in this situation? Did you panic or just sit on the floor & laugh like I did?

One time, when I was attending Ohlone College in Fremont, I had a night class. I got out at 10 PM and I decided to take the elevator instead of the stairs cause it was raining and hella windy and I didnt feel like walking down those wet, slippery stairs and get drenched. So I entered the elevator and pressed the down arrow. Well the shit just stopped and the lights cut out in between floors. I was in pitch black and I couldnt see shit. There was no phone in there, but there was a buzz button and I ws fumbling around in the dark hitting hella buttons.

I guess a maintence man heard, and he began to yell from the bottom floor up to me in the elevator that they were working on getting me out. So I just put on my earphones and layed down in there.

TWO HOURS LATER, the power came back on and the elevator made its way to the 1st floor. I thought I was gonna be in there all fucking night. They could of at least called the fire department or something!

It turned out it was a power outage from the storm... what a pain in the ass that ordeal was!
