ESPN and Madden

So what was the point of Madden getting the exclusive rights to the ESPN license? Doesn't make sense to get the license and barely use it.

Fact: EA bought the rights to ESPN, AFL, CFL, and NCAA so that 2K would not be able to make a liscensed football game, as they were worried from 2K 's major sales increase of NFL 2K5.

Call me a fanboy if you will, but I speak the truth. Doesn't it seems just a little odd that EA bought all these rights weeks after they bought the NFL exclusivity deal? Doesn't it seem odd that EA only made 1 AFL game, and have not yet, and will not ever make a CFL game? Isn't it odd that they would buy the ESPN rights, but they don't use them whatsoever?

Or do you have your head up EA's ass and can't see the forest for the trees?

yeah i do too. 2k5 did a great fuckin job using the ESPN license and Madden is letting it go to shit. If you're gonna steal the ESPN license to take away competition than mgith as well use it in the game.

Madden is better than 2k. Plain and simple, anyone who disagrees has some sort of bias. The best console football gamers play Madden. It's the standard.

They've released two AFL games, actually.. One a year. But, it's obvious they did it for those reasons, but Madden has always been the better football game, but they do need the competition.. Even though I think All-Pro Football is going to be a one year deal because nobody is going to want to play a football game with no real NFL players or franchise mode or anything like that.

And I perfer 2K's basketball and baseball games, but I just think Madden always shat all over 2K's football.

Masked Lemon, why do you hate EA so much? Anything related to the company gets you into a fit of rage. I mean there are games I don't like and it stops right there, I noticed you tend to go crazy and trash EA allllll the time.

I used to work for 2K, just like Mr. Peete... so I have a little bias for 2K games. I really don't like Madden though, it is way too arcadey for me. However, I will be buying Madden 08 for the Wii, so I am hardly a fanboy.

If I was given a PS3, I would trade it in for games for the 360 and the Wii. I see nothing of value when it comes to the PS3.

all muthafuckas can bring up is 2k5 bullshit. madden is a legacy that can't be broke by any other football that will come out. 2k5 my ass! it's not 2005 anymore. that was 2 years ago.
