I remember growing up around 20 years ago all my friends had 4 Grandparents maximum (if none had died). Today, I can count more kids than I can think of who have 8 Grandparents thru divorces and re-marraiges. Technically they are not related to all 8 bio and mathematically speaking of course, but are now obligated to know them if the family unit is functional. Is this GOOD or BAD? Whats your thought

It's bad, my moms is married to a dude that has been married 6 times. This guys' first set of kids, have a half brother. His child in the second set has a half brother (who has the same last name, but a different father).

My mother has six step-grandchildren, including one not-legally adopted grandson. It is a mess. When those kids see me, they still don't seem to know that I am their step-uncle. I see them enough and they range from the ages of 6-12, so they ought to at least know my name. No need to include them on the family tree.

Thanks for sharing. I think in the next 50 years its gonna be soooo different than it is now. The only real beef I have with it is that kids will think it is ok to just get married and then get divorced. Some guy in line at work today was talking about his Second Ex-Wife like it was normal. nothing agianst someone for having multiple ex-wives. Life doesnt always workout, but the old theory of married for better or worse is gone.
