Ok, for some reason all my USB ports stopped working on my computer....They seem to be disabled ever since i got that virus (which still hasnt been completely deleted)

I've used Adaware, CWS Shredder and Spybot and i still get Popups on my computer even when Im not online...i even downloaded the Google toolbar popup killer....

Does anyone know how to Enable the USB ports of a PC, im running Windows ME on a HP Pavillion 8766c

I think when it says Non-Cleanable, you can still delete them. It just means it can't fix the files.... but sometimes you shouldn't delete them. They might be important. What actual viruses did it find?

Can't really help you with that virus... sorry. This program is free, from downloads.com:

http://www.download.com/Avast-Home-Edition/3000-2239-10285256.html?tag=lst-0-1

You have to register it, and they send you the key to activate the full version for free. I used to have the key, but I lost it. I personally just use housecall whenever I think I might have a virus though. Antivirus software slows down your computer a lot when it's installed and running.

Disk defrag works best in Safe Mode. If you can get into msconfig it should give you an option to restart in safe mode. When you're done, go back to msconfig from Safe Mode, and set it to restart in normal mode.
