This album has been out for a while. It's pretty tight. I bump it quite often. Elzhi is hands down the best rapper from the group. Shit not too many people from Detroit can match him lyrically.
I heard it but i never picked it up yet...the lyrics are on point as usual. most of the tracks are pretty tight. my favorite tracks on it are "Love it Here" that uses a beat off one of Dilla's beat tapes and "Lets Talk" that uses Wajeed's "Vangel" off his instrumental album. Elzhi has some real personal tracks on it...
I never was a big Slum Village fan so I dont know if ill pick this one up. Maybe if I hear some ngood things about it i will. Did Dilla do any tracks on there, besides the one that was from one of his mix tapes?
i think Dilla had 2 or three tracks of the mixtape...most of the beats were made by B.R Gunna, Nick Speed and Dj Houseshoes so it still has that "Slum" sound.
