East Oakland, CA native hip-hop outfit Delinquent Monastery (better known as DelMon Crew) has been making big moves in the underworld for over 5 years now. They have an original and eccentric style which is both street and entertaining, and possess Run DMC-like chemistry. Much of this energy is captured in their debut music video 'GOOD LOOK' (a track off their highly coveted 'BATTLETOADZ MixTape') which was directed by John Hyams ('NYPD Blue'/ HBO's 'The Smashing Machine' etc.) in a progressive speed manipulation method brought to life with 2.0 high definition quality. DelMon has worked with everyone from Hieroglyphics, Mistah F.A.B., Nump, The Jacka, J.Stahlin, Sean Price, Raekwon of WuTang Clan, headlined at venues as prestigious as The House of Blues Hollywood, been on The Vans Warped Tour, featured in Urb Magazines NEXT 100, rocked the main stage at Scribble Jam, appeared in a skit on the Conan O'Brien Show, were prominently featured on the popular 'SLAPPIN IN THE TRUNK' mixtape series, and sold over 15,000 records independently to date. The 3 emcees of DelMon- Ajaxx, Plex Rock, and Lush One (Most Valuable Rapper nominee of 2007's JumpOff World Rap Championships/ President GrindTime West Coast) as well as their homies all hilariously shine in this video which is innovative for it's techniques (the whole vid was filmed at half speed which made for some very interesting chopped n screwed lip synching), as well as exposing many of Oakland's rarely filmed back blocks (from 92nd St., Railroad Ave., 2232 MLK, Mosswood Park, 23rd Ave, San Leandro Blvd. near the Coliseum, inside the BART train, and more!)
