Creased up from the feet up, never bootie and always davin, whether ridin through Valley Joe with the D-Boys or twirkin in NY with that burgundy, E-40 has been an innovator. Over the course of his 20-year career, Earl Stevens has served as an ambassador for Bay Area culture, bringing Yay slang and Yay music to hip-hop without ever asking for anything in return. This time, though, he feels like he's owed a little something.
With Retwitttered: The Official "Break Ya Ankles" Remix Contest, presented by Warner Bros. Records and Loud.com, 40 Water is looking for any and all dope, upcoming producers to remix his new single "Break Ya Ankles" from his new album, "The Ball Street Journal." The winner will be flown to the Bay where they'll get the chance to work in the studio with 40 and Droop-E. That person will also have the opportunity to attend a show, kick it backstage and film the whole experience live via a Nokia Kyte phone. Compiling footage from their studio and show experience, the winner's final webisode piece will then be featured on Loud.com, and seeded to all the major video sites like WorldStarHipHop and OnSmash! And if that wasn't enough, the winner gets an interview with Loud.com and a featured spot in the music player on the homepage, as well as a prominent positioning on E-40.com and E-40's MySpace page.
Entries will be accepted from November 11th to December 9th and a winner will be announced on or about December 30th. Good luck - but don't get it twittered!
