I used to think this but honestly the more times I've seen rappers try their hand at it the more I see it looks better on paper than in practice, this included. Not all rap beats lend themselves to good live interpretations, actually most don't. The performing aspect especially is affected, these always sound better when done in studio than at a show. As soon as everything needs to be turned up the acoustics go to shit & you're just left with a jumbled mess. It's a novelty at best.
