Im hopin for more "Sideways" or "Til the Dawn" type tracks. Of course its gonna have some crunk shit on there and thats gonna be good for buildin a buzz but I know with Rick rock and Bosko on the tracks it better have some real Bay shit on there. Lil Jon is capable of some fire ass west coast beats as well (Bitches Aint Shit off Crunk Juice for example). If 40 cant get back to platinum with this one there is no hope for the Bay.
To be honest, I was mad when I heard 40 linked with lil John. 40s a fuckin' legend. He should be callin' shots at a label puttin' out Mobb music, shakin' the world...not workin' for the next man. I bought Mr. Flamboyant from Water himself, back in the days...I thought that shit was gonna change the game, and in retrospect...it did. At first everyone clowned 40 for rappin' fast and usin' his own slang, but now they rely on that shit to eat, just like teeth.....I swear they love to bite 40...AND THE INDUSTRY CO_SIGNS IT!! JayZ, Snoop and 50, have ALL used either 40's slang, chourses, or sayings and gave NO RECOGNITION back to him...or broke bread with him. 40's not the only cat out here gettin' jacked either, the West Coast as a whole gets the stepchild treatment.....Back in '92-'94 the industry was handing out deals to Bay artists left and right, but the Bay has been eatin' better off of the independent grind than these video rappers...The west showed the rest of the nation how to do it big independently, and in return, the industry emmulated west coast culture and tried to keep us from prospering in a culture we helped keep alive...Think about it...if not for Ice T, Short, King Tee, and N.W.A putting their "Gangsta" twist on hip hop, what would the music sound like??

40 is still tight its just he went a different direction with his production. Man I still bump that old track that starts off with rahsheed wallace talkin shit on him. I also like the track with his son from back in the days "YOU GO GROW UP TO BE NOTHING BUT HOODLUM OR EITHER IN JAIL OR SOMEONE WILL SHOOT EM" YO DAD LACE MY SHOES UP LOLOL"

E-40 might be a legend, but he aint real big in the mainstream. I think it's koo for him to get in with BME and Lil John and keep grinding til he can get his name out more in the industry. Then I think more bay cats will ge more exposure outside the bay and KC.
The bay, even on the independent tip, aint really pushing units compared to the rest of the country tho. East Coast and down south independent cats still be pushing more units than independt cats from the bay. And I dont think no independent bay cats is making more than main stream cats, unless them foos is side hustling freal.
