dvd rom install help

I installed it and somehow my comp aint reading the drive at allany suggestions

is there a reason why it wouldnt read it...ide cable plugged in power cord is plugged in...

Did you google for help? Why would you wait for an answer here? I can tell you how to fix it, it's quite easy. But I want you to learn how to find information for yourself.

likwid has a point. Almost all can be found on google. My DVD-RW drive went out on me last week. Wouldnt read cds or dvds but drive still open and closed and light blinked like it was reading media and attempted to read. If you right clicked on drive it said please insert disk. I searched google and found someone who had the exact same problem with my exact same model drive. Turned out his was bad and had to replace it sooooooooooooooooooooo what do you think i did? lol there is something i bet you didn't learn a culinary school lol just messin with ya.
