Duke Nukem 3D + Improved Graphics DL

Before Duke Nukem Forever comes out lets get hyped up by playing the throwback, its a safe easy setup that makes it compatible on almost any computer. The graphics are also improved alot, if your computer can't handle it (or runs too slow) just turn some or all of the textures down. I'll post a couple screen shots when I get back, anyways heres the dl link and under it is a couple mods to check out that improves the game even more..

Heres a few quick shots I took, the pics lost quality while I converted them but thats okay. Its also after I turned all except the main texture upgrade off so my shit runs better..

Give you more weapons, levels, items, etc

It just adds on, the attrition mod gives you level ups for duke and your weapons to make them stronger and more efficient..

i extracted the rar file but its come out in 20 different parts, what do i do now

First you need to double click on the rar and take out all the files by highlighting all of them then put the files in a folder, it looks something like this:

(Notice the name Duke3D, I'm pretty sure theres a folder inside the rar like this. If not make one..)

That way you won't half to use rar everytime just to play the game..

Once extracted just click on either setup.exe to start setting up your config before starting the game or click on one of the other duke3d exe's.

Since I don't have the original rar anymore thats the best I can remember, but taking out all the files and putting them in a folder you create for it is important. If you have further problems I'll reupload the files for you in one rar/folder to make it easier just let me know what website you want to download from.

By the way, Attrition is fucking amazing....wow!

i did everything you said but when i run setup i keep getting a message saying eduke32.exe has stopped working

That might be your antivirus blocking it from starting, everytime Eduke starts it logs your IP for online play which is included also in the download. So make sure you either unblock or trust the program since it automatically blocks any incoming connection (I have this friggin problem with online games all the time, pisses me off lol). After we can try the multiplayer out when you get that down, either play co-op through the story or a deathmatch.

If you don't have a antivirus then try starting up the Setup icon I have highlighted in the picture above, also I forgot to tell you theres 3 folders missing in the picture above because it cut off at the top you should have 3 more folders in that called "autoload," "texcache," and "xduke"..If you didn't highlight, drag, and manually move all the files from inside the rar and left some behind then it won't work.

If you have anymore problems I'll just put these files in one rar so you can take them out and play them without a problem. Actually I'll just do that right now for you, you want megaupload/mediafire?

Updated in the first post, I took that from my own files so it should work perfectly fine without you needing to do anything. I also included Attrition since its amazing, if you want to get other mods remember to copy and paste the "DUKE3D" Microsoft Program Group (file type = .grp) to whichever folder you put the mod in.

I don't really like Doom but if someone made it more 3D like Duke that would be a blast, especially if it was online. I know theres multiplayer on Doom for Xbox Box Live. I'm sure theres a Wolfenstein 3D upgrade sitting around somewhere too :cheeky: Gonna look for it right now though props!

xbox live has doom for download, it has multiplayer online...same graphics though

they have mods for the doom 3 engine that make the original doom games none of them finished though

That got me excited, and yeah thats the advantages of having a computer. People can mod games and tweak it, especially when SDK's are released. Which they are even for alot of recently released games, Bethesda for example always releases SDK's and lets people mod their games and add onto it. Thats where consoles are lucky enough to get some DLC but they will never get all of it, even when theres major modifications to a game. Take Fallout for example, now I'm not saying they ripped this guy off but all they did was take his mod from Fallout 3 and add the gameplay to New Vegas.
