Woman accused of stealing adult toy, then inquiring about job - Police Blotters - Northwest Florida Daily News
A woman is accused of going into an adult products store intoxicated, shoplifting a sex toy by concealing it in her pants, then inquiring about a job, according to a Crestview Police Department arrest report.
The store manager told a police officer the 23-year-old woman came into Intimate Treasures on East James Lee Boulevard and inquired about a job, leaving her name, address and telephone number. Afterwards the manager noticed an Evolved brand female sex toy was missing from its display location. She reviewed video surveillance and spotted the woman “manipulating the front of her pants and shirt, in an action consistent with concealing the device within her pants,” the officer wrote in the report.
Police contacted the woman, whom they positively identified as the person in the video. They showed her the video and she confirmed it was she.
“As the defendant viewed her actions, she exclaimed in disbelief, ‘Oh my God. Look at what I’m doing. Oh my God. I’m gonna cry,” the report indicated.
“After viewing the video footage, the defendant retrieved the stolen device, which had been used and was no longer in a condition to be returned to the business, and advised she did not remember taking it,” the report stated.
She admitted she was “very drunk” when she was in the business.
She was charged with retail theft and has a Nov. 26 plea date
