Ive been downloading a shit load of cd's. I do buy cd's but i like to download to expand my like and open up to new artist that i never heared of before. but ive be seeing alot of shit like "79 cent download for subscribers" even the commercials have been advertising "money" downloads. monthly charges like 99 cents a month.

Is all this illegal downloading gonna come back and bite me in the ass several years from now? When i download i delete the files off my computer as soon i get done burning it on a cd so im assuming im safe.

You guys got any opinions?

I think the chances of getting busted for downloading music is almost like getting struck by lightening. There are tens of millions of people downloading music every day and how many have actually been busted? A couple thousand at the most?

Fuck the pay to download sites…why pay when there are plenty of good free sites?

I rarely buy cd’s. Only if the album is good (when I say good, I mean a solid album with at least 8 good songs). I’m not paying $20 for 1 or 2 songs that I like and the rest of the album sucks ass. Most all hip-hop albums within the last 5 years are garbage and I wouldn’t pay a dime for them. There are however a few exceptions and those albums I buy (like immortal technique, sage francis, esham, tech n9ne, etc.).

I download a lot of shit and honestly, if it wasn’t for downloading I wouldn’t know half of the artists I bump today. I would have never bought an Immortal Tech. album if I didn’t hear it first.
