DOPE Hunter S. Thompson Documentary

So I was watching some old Hunter interviews on youtube and came across a trailer for this film. Thought I would share it with the open forum fam seeings how it only took me 5 seconds (literally 5 seconds) to upload to megaupload for ya'll:cool:. Hope you guy's enjoy it, R.I.P. Hunter S. Fueled by a raging libido, Wild Turkey, and superhuman doses of drugs, Thompson was a true "free lance", goring sacred cows with impunity, hilarity, and a steel-eyed conviction for writing wrongs. Focusing on the good doctor's heyday, 1965 to 1975, the film includes clips of never-before-seen (nor heard) home movies, audiotapes, and passages from unpublished manuscripts.

It isn't narrated by Johnny Depp. It isn't narrated by anyone. It is an ok documentary that I think had more to do with his personality than it did with his writing. Towards the end of the documentary they talk about how Hunter got bigger than his writing and had to live up to being Dr Gonzo and self destructed – this movie did the same thing. It focused on the Dr Gonzo and not Hunter and his writing. It made his outlandish personality and behavior the center and his writing something he just did. And I think that was the biggest failing of the film.

I give it 3 out of 5

God damn fool, sorry I didn't know every aspect of the film lol, calm the fuck down. And yeah it's in the wrong forum, but I just thought more people in the open forum would be interested as opposed to the Movie Forum.
