The characters look a bit halo-ish but this will definitely be nothing like it. More like unreal tournament and quake.

Regardless even if the multiplayer isn't amazing I'm buying this for singe player alone. One thing I appreciate with Doom/ID software is that they release a game a decade and dont water down their product.

I imagine Doom on a console would be a terrible, clunky experience

I'm not sure what they're trying to be with this game; the guy on this demo vid is leaping around like he's playing Quake or Unreal Tournament or some other kind of ultra fast paced arena shooter. I don't think this game was really built for that it looks more like a 20-30 hours of story mode type game with multiplayer tacked onto it. And if they're just trying to update doom because of nostalgia they didn't do that great of a job; shit Crysis 3 looks better and that shits like 4 years old or something

It's extremely early to call it but from everything ive seen DOOM looks like a complete failure as a multi-player arena shooter especially the consoles version. Just looks too slow and restrained and clunky

Doom was the original arena shooter, quake and ut were based off of it. I used to play doom mp when i was like 10, the shit is the same but people are gonna complain regardless.

Snapmap maps can have faster speeds for people who dislike the regular mp.

It sucks ID doesnt make the multiplayer aspect but it is what it is. It is fun if you don't suck at it and i was already buying the game for the single player alone.

I bought it awahile back but only played it for the first 2 lvls. Was about to get back into it.
