montiel aint garbage he was ranked #7 pound for pound and is a three division champion. its just donaire is on a roy jones type of level.
montiel's only previous two losses were both split decision losses, the last one was back in 2006.

Too bad Mares is a Golden Boy fighter. Don't see that fight happening as long as Nonito is with Top Rank, and I don't see him leaving them either.
Honestly, I think he'd rape Abner.
I would love to see Nonito move up to 126 and mix it up with those guys. He walks around at 140ish, and is tall enough to move up.
That was a picture perfect counter left. Legs, to hips, arm at 90 degrees. Fight should have been stopped immediately. You won't see a pro boxer getting hit that hard, and flush too often.
