808 was what the bay was on back in the early 80's. i think even too short even brought it up on Rap City and told the host that the ATL was inspired by the bay's early 808 sound.

Ummm If it has 808's in it it will hit hard. LOL @ some of yall saying "It dont even compare". The south has always been about 808's all the way back to Miami Bass and all that. I guess alot of yall are too young to remember that.

808 was the standard for rap music from ALL coasts back in the day....KRS-One was doin it too....Sir Mix-a-Lot and Kid sensation had "slumpage" back in the late 80's-early 90's....2 Live Crew and the Miami bass movement THRIVED on 808 shit....

Too Short was one of MANY doin it....dont get it twisted....
