does EVERYONE here play RPGs?

I like FPS games and action games as much as anyone.. they have their time and place.. a lot of them are some of the best games ever..
..but RPG's have their time too. They do things that no other genres can really do to that much of a degree.. things like putting you into your character and forcing you to progress through hours and hours of work at a time. Good RPG's will make this time spent "fun" and worthwhile though, and will deliver a story that even the longest and most detailed of movies could never compete with. Just because theyre so in depth and complex, and you're the one controlling the shit.
I know why a lot of people don't like em, it makes total sense. But I think those people should try to see why we DO like them if they think about it in that way.

@drunkinfool- well to me none of them are dorky ...but that depends on what your meaning of dorky means to you
i would consider just getting a bunch of Square games.
The RPG's im playing right now are wonderful and when you buy rpgs they arent games you put away and never play them again no....i have beaten FFX 6 times through...and it never gets broing..im also playing Kingdom hearts 1 this one is just basically incredible in how it makes you not want to put down the controller...it has a wondorful story that unfolds superbly and builds up some suspense along the way and has all the necessary items to make it a good plot...
the main thing i look for in RPG's is the battle system...my favorite battle system is the EASY final fantasy x......it is just so easy to use but it does make the game way easier to beat
which reminds me.......i dont care how "real" you think you ae or how gay it must be to play Pokemon but its actually one of my favorite RPG's
my favorite pokemon game is Pokemon yellow just because it is alot how the real series started out and you can carry pikachu around
