When you put in a high maximum bid for an item on Ebay and it just somehow happens to end exactly on your maximum bid? For example, I just bid $100.50 on a CD on Ebay to hopefully make sure I won it because I knew I wouldn't be sitting at the computer when the auction ended. Well, the auction just happened to end on $100.50. It makes me wonder if the seller has another account and is trying to get the maximum amount out of it. Oh well, I guess I didn't have to put in a maximum bid that high.

Proxy Bidding
The feature of an auction-style listing in which eBay automatically bids on the buyer's behalf, up to the maximum amount they set. Enter the maximum amount you're willing to spend on an item, and eBay will continue to bid incrementally for you until either you're the high bidder or your maximum is reached. This means you don't have to keep coming back to bid every time someone else places a bid.

Rich The Factor- Pole Position O.G. I was hoping no one else would notice it and it wouldn't go up to my $100 max bid, but it did.
don;t you hate that shit sometimes I see something nice and no one is bidding and I wanna ask around to make sure it's legit but then don't want word to spread and the price to jump

Was it a private auction? I dont even see why people bid on private ones you know your gettin scammed. Theres not even any reason to make your auctions private since ebay doesnt display the user names now.
