I hope it goes GOLD, 40 deserves another plaque plus this album is hard.

The reality of it all is that Jive doesn't do their job when it comes to 40 so he will probably sell another 300K like he has been. Good money for 40 but not the national recognition that he deserves.

Very True! His last effort shoulda honestly went platinum just on his singles that touched the east & south. Jive slacks hard.

PERSONALLY I DONT THINK HE DESERVES A PLAQUE UNLESS THE ALBUM IS WORTHY OF A PLAQUE, THE LAST ALBUM WASNT T HAT GOOD TO ME, YET EVERYONE THINKS IT SHOULD GO PLATNUM CUZ HE'S E-40... TO ME, HIS LAST REAL GOOD PLAQUE WORTHY ALBUM WAS "LOYALTY & BETRAYAL" A WELL SLEPT ON ALBUM... I PUT IT UP THERE WITH "IN A MAJOR WAY"

from the tracks i've heard from the album, it sounds like itz worth a gold plaque. but you never know, jive bullshits on his albums, and i don't know what the whole album sounds like so.

Yeah, I was a little disappointed with LOYALTY & BETRAYAL when it came out, but now it sounds hella cool to me...

"Lace You Up", "Sinista Mob", "Nigga Shit", "Pop Ya Colla", "To Whom It May Concern", "Like A Jungle", "Behind Gates", "Doin' The Fool" and even "Flamboastin" knock! Just goes to show you how time changes perspectives...

Yeah, It'd be cool if BREAKING NEWS did go gold, but I'm not expecting miracles. 40 himself told MURDER DOG (in '99) that Jive was on some "Pop tart shit" (referring to Britney Spears and singers like that)...B-Legit even said that that was why he left Jive for Koch...they kept stalling around on releasing HEMPIN' AIN'T EASY (another underrated CD, IMHO).

You know, maybe I ought go back and try listening to CHARLIE HUSTLE again and see how it sounds today, huh?

Fuck ya 40 deserves to go gold, fuck it platinum. Grit And Grind is sik as fuck i think, 40 be puttin on the sickest guests to make his albums just that much better in my opinion. Not too many folks like Afroman but i like his style and that track on grit and grind is pimpin, and 40 laced up "lifestyles" so nicely. We'll see though hopefully breaking news comes through with the heat
