just wondering if any of you use ebay as a full time job. i notice some of you list a crazy amount of cd's at one time and i can't imagine doing that while working a full time job. i'm bored at work and it'd be cool to find out.

I doubt anyone's making a full-time living selling rap CD's off eBay. A side hustle is all it is. But it's definitely possible to list 100+ items a month and still work a full-time job.

As for traveling from store to store buying shit, that's the only way to go. Pawn shops are my favorite spot. $2-$3 per CD. Sure, they have a lot of crap mixed in, but if you have patience, you can come up on some gems.

yeah but some have over 100 cd's listed in one day, not a month. it takes me a while just to get a few cd's ready for shipping lol. i go shop to shop but never in different states unless i'm on vacation in another state, even then it's hard cuz i got a family to be with so i do alot of hunting online.

Hopping from State to State to look for Rare cds is crazy IMO. I don't think it's that serious. You can find rare ass cds if you know where to find them.

You can make a living off ebay if you do list shit on eBay Full Time.. considering you have the right inventory to sell.. Nowadays prices on cds sold on eBay have plummetted since there are many sellers selling the same shit. It also seems foreign buyers are tight with money so that leaves us with cheap ass Americans!! LOL.

Speaking of Auctions.. check out my auctions in about a week or two once i finish up with midterms.. I got some shit for sale! Be on the lookout!

a year and half ago i was slanging cds on ebay part time and pullin in $1000 a week  . all it took was 3 half days of work (1 day to buy, 1 day list, 1 day ship). sales have dropped a lot since then. all these cats selling duplicate & garbage rap cds f*cked up the game. plus theres too many people selling. 2003 & 2004 were the years. back then i would walk into record stores and find gems every week. i couldn't believe that no one caught on to it. but it took some time and now i see hella cats in used sections talkin bout "this one sells for good money". i'm just holding on to all my good shit. ima wait a year or so and see if the market gets better.

my favorite is going into a cd warehouse and seeing a cd with "out of print" on the tag with a price of 99.99 and when i ask em, they say, "yeah thats how much its sells for on amazon, its very rare, i bet ya didnt know that"
then i leave and plot on how to burn down the store later

^^^ Word, I hate sellers who advertise "This CD sells on Amazon for $99.99!!!!" Dumbass, it doesn't sell for that much, it's just what someone listed it for.

i hate that shit too, it seems like that's become the new trend in listing. but hey, i guess it works for them and there's a bunch of people that don't do any research for themselves.

I have been using CDs and Poker as my income for about 8 months. I won't say how much I've made but lets just say I did alright. I'm working about 25 hours a week now and I am buyin a house within the next couple months.
