I think I do. It happened to me again last weekend. I've experienced it quite a few times, but never really tripped off it until now. When it does happen, it's never really big important shit that I feel I've already seen, but little mundane shit like last weekend. I was in a car with some friends and as we pulled into a parking spot the whole scene (car we were in, lot we were in, conversation that was happening) was amazingly familiar. I had already at some point before seen the scenario. Very uneventful, but it bugged me out 'cause it was a feeling of dead on recollection.

I know I'd already seen that instant in time and this has happened to me numerous times before so I'm really interested in what others think about deja vu.

Yes!! It's happened a few times. Once, the person I was talking w/ and I got it at the same time. WEIRD. I heard deja vu explained as a brain hiccup. Who knows.:classic:

I've had deja vu about deja vu, too. It is weird.

Here's the deal, I THINK this is probably it, but I'm not positive. I heard it one time in a psychology class (i've got a psychology b.a.)

It's a screw up on your optical nerve, you SEE something, and it transmits to your brain. Usually, it's almost instantanious, and your mind interprets what it's seeing... EVERY once in a while, your optical nerve sends it, then doubles it, so a fraction of a second apart, you're seeing (in your mind, without comprehending it) the same thing twice. So really, what you perceive as deja vu, actually DID happen to you before, about a millionth of a second ago. What's strange is that once it happens, it kind of keeps going for a few seconds, so someone will say something, and you'll have the feeling that you KNEW they were going to say that (But, you couldn't, before they said it, say what it was... your mind just realized that you were receiving double signals, so no matter what the person said, or no matter what happened next, it would seem familiar, since you already recognized you were experiencing deja vu).

Peace~

I dunno, the theory actually sounds right... I mean, there's gotta be some logical explanation for it. I guess the trippy part is, even though you could swear you did it 2 years ago, or whatever, in actuality, it JUST happened, and your mind's playin' tricks on ya. The human mind is VERY powerful.

Here's what I heard... Your brain has two different memory paths your longterm memory and shorterm memory. When your brain senses whatever it is that is going on. Instead of sending the thought to be stored in your shorterm memory, it sends it to your longterm memory and makes you think that you've already done this... Now that sounds realistic...
