back in the early 1900s the founder of the PR industry was saying something similar, if the US population was given more information about certain issues, it would be a mess for big businesses. Certain issues shouldn't be in the interest of the public. Thus the raise of the PR industry, and the mainstream media (owned by a few companies), to regulate thought in the US.
And its works, very effecience. look at past major issues, NAFTA, VIETNAM WAR, US/IRAQ relations in the 80s, EAST TIMOR, US involvement in latin america.
and just another thought to throw in, why isn't there a labor section in the newspapers? i mean theres a business section in every paper, but no labor section. Again has to do with big business, corporations running eeverything.
