It's the absolute opposite for me...

I see videos and I'm like this shit is bullshit...

But when I hear the song sometimes I can get into it...

I know if there were videos of local bay shit or CA shit I would support even if the song was wack...

it could go both ways IMO
Yup. Especially if every other curse word's edited out...I liked "Gangsta Nations" (The Westside Connection and Nate Dogg's single) better when I heard the "real" version on the TERRORIST THREATS CD than I did when I saw the video (although it was cool to see the shot of Cube w/ the Jerri curl...)

PEACE!

sometimes a shitty song can have a dope video...

and in the back of your mind youll think of the video when you hear the song...

and they talkin about the video..and it aint what u expected...

yep I hate that...i like original videos like GoRiLLaz...

now come on..tell me that didnt make u like the song!...

shit if it werent for videos i wouldnt be watching/listening to have the shit thats out...

like No Doubt be havin crazy videos n shit...

sometimes rock be havin some dope videos...

shit remember when Fat Boy Slim had that one video wit christopher watkins?...

that shit was ill...lol

Naw but when I hear a song on like the TV I might not like it. But then I take it home and put it in my stereo and My feelings more than likely will change.

videos are basically commericals, i don't think people realize that sometimes. Videos are cool as hell to me, if they are actually good. I love damn near all of E-40 and SPICE 1's videos that I have seen. Too Short on the other hand, who has been one of my fav.'s of all time since i was 7, has had nothing but shitty videos for the most part. The only way it makes me like the song more, is because if they are playing the shit out of the song on the radio, and I don't like the song, at least if it has a good video it kinda gives you something to talk about if you're at work or somethin.

Usually today's videos are machine-like and stupid as hell. But when I see a certain video and a lot of creativity, it does make me like the song more. One prime example is Kanye West's "Wire" track. That video made me like that song 100% more. No bitches dancin around, no cars; it was a breath of fresh air...

thats because a video gives a better picture about what the song is about . .and that can brainwash you cuz you c things you like ..
for the labels its just a way to get a wider public .. it's just bizz and nothing more..
