I was just thinkin' about different things that have happened throughout my life (good and bad) and got to thinkin'...

Do things really happen for a reason or after things happen do we just rationalize reasons for them?

Any opinions?

I kinda believe things happen for a reason

Im not really shure to be honest...its a good excuse is something goes wrong to think that it happened for a reason

Okay, but forget the whole karma angle for a minute. Just think of little things and do you think there's a reason they happened or not. Like for example:

When I was a youngster, was there a reason my mom moved me, her and my brother from Richmond over to Concord? Was there a reason somewhere in the future that this path was chosen for me? Or did it just happen and everything after that also just happened?

Things DO NOT happen for a reason. Do people suffer from horrible diseases for a reason? Do children get raped by dirty pedophiles for a reason? The important thing is that you learn and grow from the things that happen in your life and become a better person.

^^^ Yea i agree with you Playa RY. Sometimes its believable to say KARMA is real or Things DO happen for a reason...but when you see innocent kids born with horrible deformalities and deceases..it makes you think twice. I remember a few months back...a girl at a hockey game got hit with a puck. Out of all the people in the crowed it had to be a lil 7 year old girl....she died. So I dunno? Was there a reason for that?

One of the things I have learned in my 19 years of living this life is, "there's a reason behind everything."
I guess some shit could happen at random, like being born with a mental ilness or disease. But, it could also be karma due to something you did in your life before that one. Also, if you get raped by some guy, he was bound to rape somebody... and the chosen one to be raped was you. For what reason? I don't know. You get shot and killed. You were the chosen one to get shot and killed. I believe in re-incarnation, yet I think it's a bitch (having your "reset" button pushed without your consent, then having to start all over again.)
Look around you. Major corporations seem to do what they want. Reason: Because they fund the goverment. "Third World" countries are being attacked. Reason: They will simply not bow down to Imperialism. Do you honestly think the signs all over currency are just random signs? They're there for a reason. You don't think the September 11th "attack" happened for no reason, do you?

Now that I think about it, I think my last post was irrelevant. What did you mean by "things"?
I know shit happens for a reason because... I work at a car rental place and today I was going to grab a key to a certain car and when I looked at it, I noticed that I had grabbed the wrong key, so I put it back and grabbed the correct key. A few minutes later when I'm up on the ninth floor (keys are kept in the basement), my boss called me and said he needed the car I accidentally grabbed the keys to. Sign!
Also, you're laying somewhere where you thought somebody won't see you and will accidentally step on you and you get stepped on. Sign!
Watch your signs... don't let anything slip by. When something happens and you go back and think about it, you'll notice that some of the times, you get a chance to do it right, but it ends up going wrong since you didn't pay attention to your "warning."
