No, democrats interested in putting a deomcrat pres in office will want the worst conditions possible leading up to the election. The bullshit is that will actually influence people more against President Bush or any Republican than the war in Iraq or his bungled foreign policy.

Americans don't really give a shit about any country other than their own. They have a 3 week attention span and the war on Iraq or the fact that we brought even more terrorism on ourselves is not important to the average Joe Stupid. He just wants a good economy.

NO.

because if the economy thrives Bush would be considered one of the great presidents in American history. and that would set them (democrats) back a decade, almost secure that the next 2 or 3 president are republicans, and it would also gain them (republicans) many seats in the senate and house.

I don't think with the war in Iraq that Bush will ever be considered one of the greatest. But if he does at least assist the ecnomic situation, (Presidents most of the time have very little to do with the economy during their term, exceptions being Reagan, Roosevelt, etc) he will be seen by many Americans a hero.

^^^ ya it would have to be a combination of things. if he can straighten up the economy and add that to all his accomplishments already that is what would make him go down as one of the greatest. but as of now he is only 2 years into his presidency and needs another 6 of positives in order for that to happen
