Retire??? Far from that... DJ Quik need to keep hustlin. Those are good numbers from a independent release with lil to no promotion. He can still out rap and produce more than half the cats in the game... Age aint nuthin but a number... What he has to say is way more relevant than any body in the game in their early to mid 20's...

dj quicks production=FLAWLESS i think hes the most underrated producers ever and i honestlly think alot of of it has to do with with his gang affilation beeing against the industrys norm.

dj quicks rappin=its allright he seems to be a hit or miss to me usally miss but has alot of songs i like alot

i have not herd the album no

what i ment by retiring i ment he should just hang it up and stick to producing hes had his time in the spotlight and to be quite honest its over just the fact that its a indie album and not on a major but he can still ball out making hits for other cats thats my opinon you dont agree with it

I hear your point, but Tunez do the math. He can ball out making money on the independent tip. That's where the money is fam.. Worst case scenario he is making $5.00 a cd. Multiply that by 23,824 in sales and he just grossed $119,120 fam... Wit his loyal fan base, he'll clear over 100,000 units in sales and once again the math shows he'll gross $500,000. Low over head since he produces his own music. Wack cheap cover means even less money spent( had to say it the cover is weak). Add that with the side money for selling beats. He could never see that type of money on a major based on them sales... Major labels is for the fame, Indy is for the money... Props to Quik for having a long lasting career.

honestly, Quik released some albums that were personally disappointing, but i read some interview where he made me want to give him ONE last chance.

if this album sucks, i wont buy another quik album.
