Damn I got the upmost respect for DJ Kay Slay...He was a pioneer in the HIP HOP Culture as a whole he was featured as a teenager in the historical flick "Style Wars" in 1982 where he was a OG graff writer...
But what he say may be true..but I hate tha fact that shit has to run through New York for it to trickle down to other states....On the other hand I don't think it doesnt necessarily have too... Look at Master P...He was getting major acceptance in every where but NY..then finally got radio play in NY...

dont expect too be making it big if your just in the bay, cuz theres a whole world outside of this region. and too be real people really dont know what the fuck the hyphy movement is in other regions. not a diss just the truth. so the best thing anyone can do is get up and go too the bigger marketrs like la, chicago and ny. cuz thats where shit is poppin
