It's definitely better than it was this time two years ago. E-A-Ski dropped that bangin mixtape last year which was the best shit from the Bay since Hemp Museum. Federation was disappointing but it's not nearly as bad as the bullshit that was coming out of the bay 2000-2002. Thug Lordz was decent, Yukmouth was decent, Frontline was decent, Spice 1 and Bad Boy's album was decent, JT The Bigga Figga's Game album will probably be better than Dre's...cool mix of new talent working with the old.

Ski seems to understand the importance of listening to your fanbase - and expanding your marketability. If more Bay artists would follow suit, instead of just labeling everyone a hater who doesn't like their half assed Korg Triton production with "I be pimpin and carryin a strap" lyrics - I see nothing but good coming soon. Hopefully I won't be disappointed.

Shits all good for the bay area folx now with the radio playin local artists and the quality of a lot of releases has jumped up as well, so far everything is cool for those who are already up on the artists and have been keeping an eye on the scene for a while...but the bay needs to blow the fuck up already on nationwide levels, get to more people, cover more areas so people who dont know WILL know. Anyone who doesn't hear what we have to offer is deprived! The Federation took a big step but their soundscan numbers are disappointing...hope shit gets better.
