I used to just un-hook the phone cord and that'd stop it, I used to order ppv's and such but I couldn't get the movie channels like hbo, showtime, and such.... but now you can't even order things through the remote here, you still have to call

From what I hear, it's only for payperview.
And also from what I've heard, all it does is block comcast from billing you. Which means that they'll come knocking at your door wondering why the bills ain't going through.

My cable guy sold me a filter for regular cable not to long ago. I paid him 25 bucks and he just put on the filter that gives you the extended cable, not any HBO or SHowtime and shit like that. Just ask your cable guy, most of them is slangin those shits.
