are they bay or new york, I thought ive heard them shout out NYC a couple times, but eurie body I know act like there from here. Dope ass group tho

Digable Planets is a Grammy Award winning American hip hop group based in New York City, composed of Ishmael "Butterfly" Butler (from Seattle), Craig "Doodlebug" Irving (from Philadelphia), and Mary Ann "Ladybug Mecca" Vieira (from Washington, D.C.).

Basically, They're from all over, but were based in Brooklyn. Never heard the Bay thing, tho. Maybe just 'cuz of their style of music seems like it would kinda go w/ something like early Souls of Mischief or other groups from that era. What was that other song that they had after Cool Like Dat? It wasn't as big of a hit, but it was still cool.

Digable = Classic.

They droped a Best Of/B Side CD a few years back on Blue Note and they were going to drop a new CD on Blue Note but nothing was ever released.

I bought that Best Of CD...........

I hope they still drop something new.
