Since the other thread got hijacked...

I just wanted to know, if you guys felt like with all of the hype over the fight, and the actual fight over with.

Did it live up to the hype ? Would you pay to see a rematch ?

Yeah I would pay to see a rematch. I thought the fight lived up to the hype. I think in a rematch Oscar will get knocked out.

I think we were all expecting two prime fighters batteling it out like warriors. It was pretty damn boring. I wanted to see some clean power punches, some staggering, something but it fell short.

FIGHT WAS GARBAGE AND FLOYD MIGHT HAVE WON BUT HE DIDNT DO ENOUGH TO TAKE A BELT FROM SOMEONE, YOU HAVE TO BEAT THE CHAMP, THE CHAMP DOESNT HAVE TO BEAT YOU.

It was exactly what I expected. I thought it was great chess match between the p4p number 1 fighter and a slightly over the hill elite champion. I was disappointed in Floyd's performance after all the shit talking leading up to the fight though. What happend to beating Oscar "brutally"? At the same time, I didn't expect him to do anything other than potshot from the outside and display his master defense. I enjoyed it, only because my expectation wasn't far off from what actually took place. They also should have thrown on an extra prefight or two considering the price tag.

What happened to De La Hoya saying that he was going to Win? Comments like these are so one sided and biased.. Floyd put on an excellent performance imo..

I thought it was a great fight... I got my money's worth. I enjoyed every moment especially seeing De La Hoya eat power punches. I thought it was well worth the 60 bucks I paid.

Mayweather fans arent even sure Mayweather won the fight.....

thats why we seen all this gifs in peoples sigs....cuase they want to reassure themselves he won.

All in all it was a very whack fight....I was rooting for DelaHoya, if he lost he lost but damn .....there was a reason this fight was a split decision. I just wish people would stomp carrying on like Mayweather really whooped Dela Hoya.....the fact is he didnt, he just dodged, and threw punches every now and then. He never pursued DLH, and was no where near the aggresser he assured everyone he was going to be.

If there was a rematch (which Im sure there will be)....I wouldnt pay for it. It will just another "lets get this shit over with"...type fight, just like this one was.
