"come clean" video was a subliminal diss to the west coast. peep the video you can prolly youtube it..there was lowriders in it and they pull dude out the lowrider..aint no one with a lowrider in NYC..better believe, he was coming at the west..
fuck, "the sun rises in the east" album was basically saying "fuck this west coast shit we bringin it back to real east coast hip hop"....it was during the whole coast tension..
so basically id like if someone DID punch him.
although sun rises in the east WAS a good album, it would still be hilarious if he got beat up.
Tricky (the skinny trip hop guy) had jeru mollywhopped back in the day s for calling him a devil..and he kicked him off his tour and left him stranded..hahahaha

@Gas One... cmon now folks this ain't Columbo, you're reading way too much into those tracks, Jeru is from a time when there was dope rappers out on the East, I actually used to listen to NY ish back then, Jeru has one of the nicest flows there is, and as far as I can tell from his touring, hella humble too. No reason for anyone to lay hands on him.
And on that Tricky thing... that dude is from my town, but I ain't never heard no story about him or anyone down with him getting into it with Jeru. What's your source? Dude is from a tough neighborhood, about a mile from my spot, but neither he or the people he rolls with are like that, I only remember them saying it was the labels that pulled Jeru out of it and them folks is still cool.

i dont need to tell you shit to validate anything. and my source is a tricky interview with a free magazine about 6 years ago. as far as the jeru thing goes, you dont know him, his intent musically, nor things he's said about other people/groups of people based on his narrow perspective..based on a tour none the less..
and i dont see a reason why i should break down who i know and why i know things.

hes talking about the west coast, there was no fake gangsta mcs on the east coast in 1995. most of the music coming out at the time for the west was gangsta rap. the south wasnt a factor. and jeru wouldnt know whos fake and whos not at that time, hes from brooklyn and didnt even have enough money to buy a new camo hat.
