What are your opinions on it? What did you think about the show?

I just watched the first season on DVD from Netflix and I didn't really like it that much. After all of the documentaries I've watched about prisons and prison gangs on National Geographic, The History Channel, etc., the characters just don't seem to be hardcore like the prisoners they interview on these documentaries. But then again, I've never been to prison so I don't really know shit. I've just been on a tour of an L.A. County jail.

Too much male nudity other than that it was kool a cool show...

And they called the special unit emerald city becuz it was in oswald state pen. They while unit was mcmanus's speacial project so the dudes were hand picked to be in there. But as seasons go on they get their fair share of killers and nutz...

Used to be my favorite show- they had great characters. I still haven't seen the last season because like everyone else said, it lost it's luster. The last episode I watched was when there was a bomb or something that exploded in the prison; was that the last season? First few seasons were dope. But this show wasn't meant to be realistic. It was a mixture of TV drama in the prison system. Just like in real life how hospitals are not filled with male and female models who fuck each other all day as they are depicted in shows like ER and Grey's.

In closing.. How bout a blood piss shit puke cocktail hAhaHA anyone remember that?

That show, as with a few other HBO shows, are much more in depth than the majority of shows on television.

Quite a few of the people on that show went on to get parts on Law&Order; even those who didn't get permanent roles got guest spots.

i have all of the episodes on my computer, i started watching it awhile back. if it wasnt for all the penis' it would have been better. its not necessary to show that many fuckin dicks. we get it, its a prison.

one of my fav shoes.....the 4th Season when Querns comes in was the best...i remembr when Adebisi and Saeed fought at the end and both fell i was like WTF!!!! I dont like how the stories of some of the characters ended like Morales being a bitch, Keller just dying like that, and Schillinger etc....but over all it was a tight series. I have it all on DVD

The ealry seasons was best

I liked the one when that actor Leon was one of the gangstas, and he found God and stared rollin with the Muslims. The lil youngsta Kenny was off the hook too, when he had his baby mama killed.
