Conspiracy theories that aren't backed up by any solid evidence only further cloud people's thinking, i.e. don't help at all. The Illuminati belong to that class of conspiracy theories.
That said, as I have pointed out many times, the type of rapper that has the most potential to ignite the masses with his message combines generally hardcore image and music with the right balance of consciousness in his lyrics(2Pac was the perfect example). DMX had many of those characteristics, and could have gone that way, but the problem here is that it's not as if his music didn't start to seriously suck after the first three albums, because the reality is that it did. You can't blame the Illuminati for that. Had he kept putting out dope albums, and then ran into legal trouble, had issues with labels, etc., yeah, they may have had a point, but he was already on the downhill around 2001.
