It's great to keep an open mind. If I experienced something which could only be explained by invoking the 'it was a demon' stance, then I would not need to 'believe', I would instead KNOW. However, it shouldn't matter what other people say. What if heaps of people (without you experiencing it first hand) told you that smoking weed stem got you higher than a mother fucker? Would you 'believe' it? The only way you could either confirm or refute their claim would be to try some. The only difference is that determining whether demons exist isn't testable (like the existence of God), and hence the statement is hypothetical and has no real meaning.

Ofcourse, as I stated previously, if I had a real encounter with a demon, then I will have to believe (well, know). In which case, you will be the first ones to know. Look out for a 'Shiiiiiiit, Demons are real!' thread, coming soon.....
Cmon I know what you are getting at.... I am not a follower, I use Reason like everyone else here does of course, don't start thinking I believe everything everyone tells me, if thats what you think your wrong. Like I said before my knowledge helps me the decipher the fake from the real. All you fools with the naked eye are just oblivious imo.

To Chree ive heard similar stories about this in unknown parts in Mexico where I used to live, It seems to me this epidemic happens where the most ignorant people are. To Heresy, before you hit the strip club or whatever what else was going on in your surroundings?

Nothing was out of the ordinary. I wasn't high, I didn't drink and it was a typical night in S.F.

@EDJ if you ask me they ran train on her and have it on tape. If not they just filmed her in a private setting.

Damn thats all some crazy shit, to be honest I do not know what a fallen one is, but my uncle lives in costa rica, and said one day when he was in the boonies, he came upon a river, and he crossed it and saw pretty much heresys description of a fallen one, and it followed him throigh the woods, he called it a demon, and he isnt the only one to see it, my aunt and my uncles friend have all seen it, he owns land right next to the forest/jungle w/e its called, and they have all seen this thing around there, any idea as to what it could mean? I want to visit there, and would get a fully paid trip, but that shit creeps me out. Can some1 tell me what a Fallen one is? I think they explained it in that video cocoaleaves posted but i dont remember.

^ so aint no1 gonna tell me?

I'll make it $100,000 - it's impossible to prove the existence of demons - and by that I mean, prove to ME the existence of demons. You can tell me all of the 'my friends friend saw a ghost' and: 'I saw a fallen one, he looked like so-and-so', but I refuse to believe anthing unless it directly happens to me.

A lot of people see something they consider strange and classify it as a 'spiritual experience', or see some weirdo who's giving them the look and attribute this to the 'fact' that they're not really human. This may be enough to prove the existence of demons to them, but it sure as hell ain't for me. Next time, walk up to the guy and have a chat with him. Get him to show you his 'powers' (if he has any discernable ones) and provide evidence which supports your 'fallen one' theory. For all you know he could be the weirdo brother of the stripper you were perving on, in which case he really would be giving you the 'you shouldn't be here' look, and for an obvious reason. I've seen some strange stuff, and I wasn't on drugs every time, but just because I can't provide a cogent explanation for it doesn't mean that it's otherworldly.
Impossible bet, because spirituality cannot be proven by the scientific method. But thats the whole apeal of it. In what field of science did you study btw?

I'll tell you what I've experienced and what I think....

I'm agnostic/athiest. I tend to believe everything can be explained in a reasonable scientific way.

Now, just last week I was at this guy's house. This dude would not shut up about how his house was haunted/had some weird freaky stuff going on... of course I didn't believe any of the bullshit he was saying.

Well anyways we're all standing in the kitchen about to leave when we all suddenly hear something coming from one of the rooms that sounded like some guy talking really loud or an old radio or something. The other 2 people there start freaking out and I'm thinkin it's nothin and so I tell them to stop being pussies and i go down the hall to see what it is while theyre followin behind me all scared n shit. and so i walk towards the guest bedroom where the voice was coming from and right when i get to the doorway the voice of the man gets really low and sounds all evil and then it completely stops right before we walk into the room. And when I turn around the door to the room across the hall closes (by itself). I got a very unwelcome feeling from whatever was there. All 3 of us experienced this. I later apologized to the owner of the house for not believing his stories.
(I get chills just thinkin about it)

When I was about 12 my grandma died and I had a dream about her a few nights later and it seemed very real, me and all my family were sitting around her asking her questions about life. When it gets to be my aunt's turn my aunt asks my grandma if she had any pain before she died... without an answer my grandma fades away and the dream ends. Well anyways, a few weeks later I'm at dinner with my mom and my aunt.... and my aunt starts telling us about an unusual dream she had... well long story short my aunt had the SAME exact dream that I had... same details... everything even how it ended was the same with her asking my grandma if she had any pain and then the dream abruptly ended.

Now what I think about demons and all that shit? I think it's schizophrenia... the subconscious is VERY powerful. I think when religions tell stories of demons and such it's really just another way of describing psychosis and evil. You say too-mae-toe I say toe-mah-toe kind of thing.

There may be some things that have yet to be explained, but that doesn't mean that it's demons or ghosts.

Does God, the Devil, demons, angels, etc. have to be external, independent entities? Couldn't they all be manifestations of our own subconscious?

Just because an event, phenomenon, or experience is not able to be perceived objectively doesn't mean it isn't REAL in the mind of the observer.

And what purpose did it serve you to bring back this thread?
