Any Deftones fans pick this up? What are your thoughts on it?

I know there is a lot of people in here that don't like the Deftones so just skip this thread if you don't because I want to know what fans of them think about the new album. No need for the "they suck" etc, etc.

I think it's pretty solid. Chino blew out his vocal chords a while back so there isn't as near as much screaming as usual.

I'll write some more later because I'm off to work but I just wanted to get this up to see if anyone else picked it up and/or heard it.

I didnt really get into ther last effort, the self titled ablum, but this one is a definete improvement. The Deftones have been one of my all time favorite bands. Although this doesnt top White Pony, it is a solid release.

Great album...a 4/5
their second best album, behind White Pony which is one of my favourite albums period
i love all kinds of rock music but bands that are similar to the Deftones, i usually hate, but i'm a big fan of the Deftones themselves
best song on here is 'beware'

This is definitely a solid album from the Deftones. Easily their second best IMO behind White Pony. I am totally addicted to hole in the earth. Strongly recommend every rock fan picking this album up.

Adrenaline >>>>> Around The Fur >>>>> Anything else.

Their newest albums seem more like sonic rock than what they used to be on their first two albums, which could better be descirbed as early rap/metal that wasnt weak as fuck (See: Korn, Limp Bizkit).

Deftones sold out.....Their music now more appeals to the skinny EMO kids than their old school rock/rap following that they had back in the 90's.

We are all entitled to our own opinions but I don't see how you came to yours. I don't see how this album would appeal to "Emo" kids at all, but whatever.

This album is dope as fuck IMO and has got steady play since I picked it up. I'd say it's either my 2nd or 3rd favorite album by them.
