When he denouced gangsta rap music and put out The Aftermath album. Dre was done to me. He hasn't put anything out really gangsta since the 1st Chronic Cd.
Chronic 2001 was fucking sick. The Watcher, Whats the Difference, Bang Bang, Next Episode... come on dog, nearly every song on there is a classic. The production is top notch.

I just wasn't on Chronic 2001 like that. I mean I will give that the beats were good. But the raps. They succed compared to the first Chronic.

I hear ya, but I never really looked at Dre as a rapper. I judge him based on his production. His albums are always filled with guest appearances anyway. All though I think he came clean as fuck on Forgot About Dre.

He was alright on that song. But think of the gangsta shit he was kiccing on The OG Chronic. It was much more violent and that is what I like to listen to. Plus that album was sampled to death and changed rap as we knew it. Not so with Chronic 2001.

Its a good song, but Dre didnt write any of that past the first line, not to mention he didnt even like the song initially, If you wanna give props slide em snoops way for penning and committing to the song.
