Officials with Washington's Metro public transportation system are searching for a bus driver seen in a video to be picking up and tossing a passenger off of a bus, WUSA and other news organizations are reporting.
The passenger lands on the ground with a thud in the video, which was posted to the website iTube.
"Get off the bus. Get off the bus," the driver is heard to say.
In slightly slurred words, the passenger responds, "I ain't done nothing to nobody or nothing."
Representatives for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, which operates Metro, told WUSA that the driver's behavior is unacceptable, and said that his face is visible on the tape and they will take appropriate action.
Drivers having problems with passengers are instructed to contact police and have them address the situation, the representatives told the station.
Jackie Jeter, president of Amalgamated Transit Union Local 689, which represents 10,000 working and retired transit workers, told WUSA that riders should not be tossed from buses unless there is a threat to a passenger. She added, "But, it's a stressful job."
She said Metro officials should do more to protect drivers, and said attacks are common. "Anywhere for a brick being thrown at a bus to actually being assaulted, there are probably about 200 cases (annually) that aren't talked about or publicized."
It is not clear where or when the incident took place.
